UK Roulette
Roulette is one of the most popular
casino games, whether you're playing with real chips on a table or low
stakes on a bookies or arcade terminal.
One of the main reasons why this game
is so popular is because the odds are very flexible and you can choose
which odds you prefer to play against, and generally all bets have the
same house edge of 2.7%
You can bet anything from single number
bets which pay 35/1 to streets at 11/1 or your outside even bets which
pay 1/1.
Live online roulette is exactly the
same as playing in your local casino and each spin is completely random
and span live by a croupier. Other versions of terminal based roulette
don't pay the same odds, some have a house edge as high as 8% (more
details below)
The main bets available on roulette
are:
Single Number - 35/1 (all numbers are
same odds)
Split Numbers - 17-1 (place a chip between 2 numbers)
Street - 11/1 (3 horizontal numbers on the same line)
First 4 - 8/1 ( 0, 1, 2, 3)
Corner - 8/1 (split between any 4 numbers)
Double street - 5/1 (between 2x street bets)
Columns - 2/1 (1st, 2nd or 3rd column vertically)
Dozens - 2/1 (1st, 2nd or 3rd dozen horizontally)
Even bets 1/1 (black, red, 1-18, 19-36, odd or even)
Those odds apply to all UK roulette tables, the same odds also apply to
roulette games on machines across the UK in amusement arcades and
bookies but these games aren't giving a number out at random upon each
spin, they're actually generating a winning or losing spin, just like a
fruit machine would. When ready to pay they'll happily give you 3 or 4
best paying spins but they can easily to 3 or 4 times as many losing
spins, and when they aren't ready to pay out you can really tell,
covering 30+ numbers will still give you a losing spin.
In our opinion live or casino roulette
has the best return to player percentage and after a long series of
spins you really begin to tell the difference.
